Sambiya River Lodge constructed with local materials in an Africana design, blends in with the lush environment and allows panoramic vistas as well as game and bird viewing along the Sambiya River and the adjacent flood plain.
It is in the Heart of Murchison Falls National Park, minutes’ drive to the top of the magnificent Murchison Falls. The lodge is the perfect location for those who want to experience the tranquility of unspoiled Africa, untouched by mass tourism. The surrounding leopard country is a mixture of savannah plain and riverine forest that supports a variety of wildlife.
Sambiya River Lodge’s unique charm is in the atmosphere of intimacy provided to the guests. Guests stay in any of the 26 double rooms designed as individual and family thatched cottages which have en suite bathrooms, and other amenities to make you relax and enjoy the commanding views of quintessential Africa.
Twelve basic bandas are also available for guest accommodation.

Visitors use it as a base to explore the unique Murchison Falls National Park: cruise the River Nile; go on fishing safaris; trek chimpanzees; go on birding, photographic and/or walking safaris; view the dramatic waterfalls of the Nile which plunge 45 metres through a narrow 6 metre canyon of boulders.
